Bay Village Lacrosse Club Inc. is an Ohio not-for-profit and qualified as a 501(c)(3) charity by the IRS. We are one of the top youth programs in Northern Ohio, and we work very hard to run a fiscally responsible, highly successful program while keeping player costs affordable. Almost all of our operating budget comes from player registrations and goes directly to lacrosse activities: field time, equipment, referees, tournaments--and everyone at BVLC is a volunteer, offering coaching, management, legal, accounting and other necessary services without charge.

 

And thanks to individual donations and the support at fundraisers--such as our Annual Fall OSU Watch Party--we have been able to develop various additional programs:

  • Girls Helmets/Headgear - we are one of the first programs in the area (and country) to aggressively and systematically offer the newly approved helmets to the girls, a move which should dramatically reduce head and face injuries to our girls
  • BVLC Scholarships - lacrosse should be available to all Bay boys and girls, and scholarships are available to help those that might not otherwise be able to participate
  • Lacrosse Field Upgrades - adding more and better lacrosse goals and field equipment at different locations around Bay Village. Not only benefits BVLC for practice and games, but available throughout the warmer months for anyone in the community to practice or just try out lacrosse
  • Summer Lax - partnering with Bay High lacrosse coaches, the Bay Rec Department, and others, we offer summer lacrosse camps, clinics, and leagues in Bay to introduce the game to a new group of kids or help existing players further develop their games
  • Lacrosse Shed - on ongoing campaign to procure a lacrosse shed, similar to the soccer shed at Cahoon, to store goals and other equipment, especially over the winter
